You can be forgiven for confusing the names Fred and Bert with a couple of old English gents chatting about life of yesteryear. On the contrary Fredrik Christensen and James ‘Bert’ Riley head up two young digital design agencies on the cusp of something big – and both have joined forces.
Marslight, a leading digital creative company based in London and led by Christensen, has teamed up with Riley’s York-based website design agency, Explosive Designs, in a partnership all set to change the way web design companies share their expertise.
“Our paths crossed by chance but we soon realised we could offer each other a skill-set which could significantly compliment our current offerings,” explained Christensen. “This joint venture is all set to take our businesses to a whole new level whilst also offering our clients industry leading web designs across all areas of the development.”
Both agencies provide their clients with concepts, designs and builds, but whilst Marslight’s expertise lies in the creative design element of website development Explosive Designs are equipped with the knowledge and expertise to develop the back-end of the most sophisticated website builds.
As Riley explains this could fundamentally be the future for digital agencies as the digital world expands and with a proliferation of online agencies in the marketplace.
“As the digital world becomes increasingly sophisticated, more and more organisations are becoming savvy to the impact they can have through their online presence meaning increasing demand for online expertise and increasingly complex requirements,” explains Riley. “As a result digital agencies are focusing on specific areas of expertise in which they can calve a niche and offering these services out to companies rather than a one size fits all approach. As a result I think we are sure to start seeing many more joint ventures of this kind.”
